ACY encourages public support for troops in Iraq
“As a veteran, I know how important it is to boost morale,” Esmerado said.
The yellow ribbons will be visible throughout the airport parking areas. Five large banners will be hung in high-traffic locations – at the baggage claim area and at the head of the escalators inside the terminal, at the exit to the parking lot and on the Raytheon and Midlantic Jet Aviation buildings. They will read:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
“The ACY Family”
Participants include Spirit Airlines and Delta Connection/Comair; Gold Transportation and Ryan International, air charters; Yellow Van Shuttle; Hertz, Avis and Budget; LC3, the restaurant concessionaire; Faber, Coe & Gregg and Talk of the Walk, retailers at ACY; Gate Serve, the airline caterer; the Transportation Security Administration; U.S. Customs Service; Egg Harbor Township police and State Police; USDA Wildlife Service; Avports; the Airport’s Air Rescue and Fire Department.
“We are glad to give our patrons the opportunity to show support for the men and women who are risking their lives to defend this nation. We know that the training they received at our Airport will serve them well and keep them out of harm’s way,” said Airport Director Tom Rafter.
