Notice to Bidders - Sale of Excess SJTA Property



NOTICE is hereby given that the South Jersey Transportation Authority has authorized the sale of excess property at the following location: an approximate 0.0515 acre remnant of Parcel 3032, located in Hamilton Township, NJ, as shown on the Atlantic City Expressway General Property Parcel maps dated 1963.

Sealed bids will be accepted on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Administrative Offices of the South Jersey Transportation Authority located at Farley Service Plaza, Atlantic City Expressway M.P. 21.3, Elwood, NJ 08217. The minimum bid for this parcel is set at two thousand dollars ($2,000).

The parcel will be sold to the highest bidder with the restriction that the property cannot be used for billboards or other advertising or for placement of a telecommunications tower. Bids must be accompanied by a certification that the restrictions are acceptable, and a certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Closing will be held within thirty (30) days of bid date. The Authority will deed by Quitclaim Deed and Deed of Restriction, the premises to the successful bidder. Failure to complete settlement according to the terms and conditions as set forth will result in forfeiture of deposit to the Authority. The Authority gives no warranties as to title, the accuracy of the description of, amount of, or physical condition of the land. The successful bidder will be responsible for paying the applicable conveyance fee within the thirty (30) day period.

The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
