SJTA PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED

PUBLIC NOTICE
SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY

Please take notice that, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 27:25A-20(a), the South Jersey Transportation Authority will hold public hearings in Atlantic, Camden, and Gloucester Counties and accept public comment regarding a proposed toll increase to be paid by motorists utilizing the Atlantic City Expressway.

The proposed cash toll rates are:

Representatives of the South Jersey Transportation Authority will be available at each hearing to discuss the proposal to raise tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway, and to receive oral and written testimony from members of the public relative to the proposal. The public record will remain open until Wednesday, October 1, 2008, for receipt of written comments. Written comments should be directed, via U.S. Mail, hand delivery or courier, to the attention of the Executive Director, South Jersey Transportation Authority, Frank S. Farley Administration Building, P.O. Box 351, Hammonton, New Jersey, 08037. Written comments that are received after October 1 may not be considered.

The revenues generated by the toll increases will be utilized to fund the following projects:

1. ACE Widening from Parkway to Rt. 73 $120,000,000
2. Berlin-Cross Keys Bridge Improvements $7,000,000
3. Pacific and Atlantic Avenue One-Way $10,000,000
4. Bridge Repair and Redecking $35,000,000
5. Airport Improvements $25,000,000
6. Pavement Rehabilitation $8,000,000
Total $205,000,000
