ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION 2010-01 OF THE SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO ATLAS FLASHER AND SUPPLY OF MICKLETON, NEW JERSEY FOR THE PURCHASE, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) TRUCK MOUNTED ATTENUATORS WITH TRUCK MOUNTED ARROW BOARDS
On November 12 and 13, 2009, the Authority publicly advertised for bids for the purchase and installation of FHWA approved truck mounted attenuators and mounted arrow boards. On December 10, 2009, three (3) bids were received, opened and tabulated. Atlas Flasher & Supply of Mickleton, New Jersey was deemed the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $47,531.80.

RESOLUTION 2010-02 OF THE SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO WINNER FORD OF CHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEY FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF TWO (2) CURRENT MODEL YEAR UTILITY TRUCKS, F-250 OR EQUAL, 4 WHEEL DRIVE , 9,200 LB. GVWR, 8’ BODY WITH ALUMINUM ROLL TOP COVER AND ACCESSORIES
On November 9 and 10, 2009, the Authority publicly advertised bids for the purchase and delivery of two (2) current model year utility trucks, F-250 or equal, 4 wheel drive, 9,200 lb. GVWR, 8’ body with aluminum roll top cover and accessories. On December 10, 2009, two (2) bids were received, opened and tabulated. Winner Ford of Cherry Hill, New Jersey was deemed the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $116,540.00.

RESOLUTION 2010-03 OF THE SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY RESCINDING RESOLUTION 2009-161 AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO T.N. WARD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE ATLANTIC CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TERMINAL EXPANSION AND FEDERAL INSPECTION SERVICES FACILITY (FIS) PROJECT
The Authority passed Resolution 2009-161 authorizing the execution of a contract with T.N. Ward for the construction of the Atlantic City International Airport Terminal Expansion and Federal Inspection Services Facility, which includes construction of the terminal building, minimal apron reconstruction, installation of new passenger boarding bridges, relocated parking and the procurement and installation of furniture, fixtures and specialized and/or general building equipment. Subsequent to the award, but prior to a contract or notice to proceed being executed, it was determined by the Authority that bid specs were unclear and there was a bid protest regarding the completeness of T.N. Ward’s submission, which were deemed meritorious. In light of these issues it was determined to be in the best interest of the Authority to re-bid the project.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION 2010-04 OF THE SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH MARINA DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LLC d/b/a BORGATA HOTEL CASINO AND SPA FOR THE PROVISION OF CERTAIN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Resolution renewing Borgata's agreement with the Authority for employee transportation services for up to three (3) shifts from the Camden Transportation Center in Camden, New Jersey to their workplace at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey during the work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The annual cost for one (1) year is $256,000.00 for three (3) shifts which will be borne equally by the Authority and Borgata Casino. The Authority’s share is to be funded by a CMAQ Grant amount of $128,000.00 with Borgata Casino matching the additional amount of $128,000.00. The term is for the period of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010.

RESOLUTION 2010-05 OF THE SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HEWLETT PACKARD FOR THE PROVISION OF CERTAIN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Resolution approving an agreement between Hewlett Packard (“HP”) and the Authority to provide transportation services for employees of HP to transport the employees from the PATCO Woodcrest Station in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to their workplace located at 101 Woodcrest Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and back again for the payment by HP of Forty Five Dollars ($45.00) per hour. The term is for the period of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. The Authority previously entered into a similar agreement with Electronic Data Systems (“EDS”) for the same services for the same compensation in 2009. HP now occupies the same premises as previously occupied by EDS.
